F.A.Q.

All items are shipped from Germany. I ship worldwide! Shipping costs and delivery times vary by destination and will be calculated at checkout.

Most items are made to order and ship within 3–7 business days. Items such as vests and custom orders can take longer, up to 14 days. Ready-to-ship items go out within 2–3 business days. You’ll receive a tracking number when your order ships.

Express options are available on request. Contact me if you're in a rush!

Everything is made by myself in Berlin. 

The raw material: inner tubes, are collected from local bike shops that are eager to give it away. Other materials such as fabric, rivets, rings etc. are sourced locally if possible, and preferably upcycled as well.

Yes! I welcome custom orders. You can see here (link) a slideshow of various custom orders made so far.

Of course, not everything is possible. Just shoot me a message and we talk! 

Since all items are made from upcycled materials, variations in texture or finish are normal. 

Some items like the wallet wristbands and the apocalypse vests, are all completely different and unique. 

If you have a latex or rubber allergy: don't order any of my products! (although apparently inner tubes contain very little natural rubber... )

If you are allergic or sensitive to nickle or if you have had skin issues before, let me know.

I try to use as much as possible stainless steel / Edelstahl for all the small metal parts like rivets, rings, buckles. However, not everything is available in stainless steel. The bronze coloured metal parts as well as the punk rivets are NOT steel and I haven't yet found them either. Also some products that I made earlier may not be steel either. 

I also have a cat wandering around in the studio. She does not touch the products, however, if you have a cat allergy, please let me know as well. I can wash the product extra well for you or maybe you shouldn't order if you have a very serious allergy. 

Finally, rubber tends to take in smells. Some items may smell of smoke or incense (after being in a place that has incense for example or in a club). If you are sensitive to these smells, let me know, I will make sure you get a fresh product. You can of course also infuse your own Rubber Bear product with a certain incense of your choice! 

I wash all tubes when I get them, both in the machine and by hand. Some tubes, especially the motorbike tubes, have a stronger rubber smell. Again, you can infuse it with incense. 

Yes, you can return your order within 14 days if unused.

If you received an item which is not the size you ordered, you can send it back and we will return the correct size at no cost. 

However, if you made a mistake with measuring, you will have to pay for the postage costs yourself. Therefore, please always follow the measuring guidelines and if in doubt, send a message!

Every order made through this website receives an invoice. 

Orders from the EU do not pay import taxes. However, if you are based outside the EU, you may have to pay import duties, VAT and handling fees that are collected by your country. These are the responsibility of the buyer.

If you are based in the US, Canada, Australia, UK, Switzerland you have to pay taxes, so please check beforehand.

Do you own an innertube piece (such as a harness or choker) from another maker that needs repair? I may be able to fix it for you.

I recommend first contacting the original maker. If that’s not possible, feel free to reach out to me with photos and a short description of the issue.

You can either bring the item to my studio in Berlin or send it by post (shipping costs are covered by the customer).

Pricing

• Small fix: €30
• Medium repair: €45–60
• Complex repair: €70+

The final price depends on the complexity of the repair and will be confirmed in advance.

Unfortunately I do not have a store.

However, you can find me regularly at markets, such as the Kinky Fair Berlin. These are all communicated on my website.
